At SCL your child’s safety and wellness are our number one priority!   In order for us to keep your child healthy, as well as everyone else, the Archdiocese has guidelines in place for when to keep your child home from school. 

If your child has a temperature of 100.4 or greater we will ask you to come pick them up and they will not be allowed to return to school until they are fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication. 

If your child is vomiting or has diarrhea we will ask that you come pick them up from school, and they will not be allowed to return until they have been symptom free for 24 hours.

If your child has a confirmed case of lice, the policy at St. Catherine Laboure is that s/he may not return to school until they are nit free.

If your child needs OTC (Over the Counter)  medication during the school day for any reason, we do have stock meds on hand, however, the child must have written authorization from the pediatrician and the parent to receive medication at school. If your child will need medication over the course of a few school days, such as ibuprofen or tylenol for broken bones, please send in their own supply of medication in the bottle.

Forms required for new and returning students:

All NEW STUDENTS are required to turn in a physical form from their pediatrician that is less than a year old, and an updated record of their immunizations

Kdg, 3rd, and 6th grade is required to turn in an updated immunization record.

Every student is required to turn in an updated P.E. form yearly

We are updating our record keeping system! We are moving to a digital database in the FACTS system that will allow us to upload our health records, as well as keep an online record of daily visitors to the office.
