Thank You SCL parish for all the support and energy this past season with The Victory Garden. Hundreds of pounds were given to those in need between our own beds at SCL and our satellite in Perryville.
Fellowship after Thursday, 8:15 a.m. mass. From November – to March, gatherings will take place only on the first Thursday of the month. Weather permitting, we are at the garden location, otherwise we move to the narthex.
October 19 – Sweet Potato Day - 3rd-grade SCL students dug up their potatoes planted in the spring.
Approximately 400 pounds of potatoes were harvested.
October 27 – SCL Lunch and Lead group assisted parishioners in the Victory Garden enlarging and
spreading of wood chips.
October 30 (approximately 9:00 a.m.)– Parishioners are invited to assist with prepping the beds for
winter. No skill is necessary, just a strong back. Please bring a shovel and rake. Garden soil will be
unloaded and added to the beds.
Interested in participating in The Victory Garden? No skill is necessary, many opportunities besides
labor-intensive gardening. There is something for everyone. Email – victorygarden@sclparish.org
