Admissions

Policy

All Catholic schools of the St. Louis Archdiocese shall admit students of any race, color, or national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at these schools. The schools shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, or ethnic origin in admission policies, scholarships and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs. (Archdiocesan Policy 4101)

Requirements for Admission

Thank you for your interest in St. Catherine’s. Admission to St. Catherine Labouré School is contingent upon:

  • the family’s desire for this special kind of school where Catholic teaching and moral formation are an integral part of the school. (Non-Catholic families must give the same assurance that they understand the religious requirements and expectations of attending a Catholic school.)
  • participation in the spiritual and social life of the parish or religious congregation.
  • support of the concepts outlined in the SCL Parent and Parish Witness Statement and Witness Statement: Called to Be Catholic for Students Who Attend Catholic Schools (found in the SCL Family Handbook).
  • agreement to follow the policies and procedures of the school.
  • willingness to cooperate with the teachers and administration in the moral, psychological, emotional, spiritual, and academic development of their children.

Priority for admission is given to registered parishioners determined by the date of family registration within St. Catherine Labouré Parish. Only a parent or legal guardian may register his/her child(ren).

A child who is five years of age by July 31 may be admitted to Kindergarten at St. Catherine Labouré. A child who is six years of age by July 31 may be admitted to first grade. The date of birth is to be certified by a birth certificate.

Any new family and new student(s) coming into Grades 1-8 at St. Catherine’s will be interviewed by the Administration before being accepted and given a place in a current classroom.

Registration

The Registration process entails submission of a completed enrollment packet, copies of birth and baptismal certificates, and the required fees.

Tuition & Fees

St. Catherine Labouré parishioners are dedicated to the mission of Catholic education. Because of their generous support, both in their weekly contributions and in their participation in the school auction held every two years, we are able to keep our tuition costs quite reasonable and below the actual cost of educating each child.
